Description Götz 2013-11-03 15:53:52 UTC
When using version gstreamermm 0.10.11 and subtitleeditor (latest 0.41 or trunk), and selecting "Generate Keyframes from Video", subtitleeditor crashes. Downgrading gstreamermm to version 0.10.10.2 fixes the problem.

In generally we doesn't support 0.10 version. Is it a problem for you to upgrade gstreamermm library to a 1.0 version?
Comment 3 Tomáš Hnyk 2013-11-06 10:18:38 UTC
Well, neither of us is a maintainer of subtitlteditor, so we cannot really move it to 1.0:-(.
Comment 4 Marcin Kolny (IRC: loganek) 2013-11-06 10:50:02 UTC
well, what about contact with maintainer of this project? I could help with development.
Comment 5 Tomáš Hnyk 2013-11-19 12:16:45 UTC
I forwarded your offer to the maintainer ( kitone at gna dot org ) but I am not sure if he has the resources to pull off the porting right now.
Comment 6 Tomáš Hnyk 2013-11-19 18:02:58 UTC
Is gstreamermm released as version 1.0 at all? I cannot find it at all.
Comment 7 Marcin Kolny (IRC: loganek) 2013-12-03 12:11:47 UTC
Yes
Comment 8 Tomáš Hnyk 2013-12-03 12:15:31 UTC
Ah, this one, right? https://github.com/GNOME/gstreamermm/releases/tag/1.0.8
Comment 9 Marcin Kolny (IRC: loganek) 2014-01-16 11:09:51 UTC
Hi, I'm sory for my delay;/ Official repository can be found here: https://git.gnome.org/browse/gstreamermm/
Comment 10 Murray Cumming 2017-04-21 14:03:14 UTC
This is apparently an issue in an app, not in gstreamermm. If the app developers actually decide that it's a problem in gstreamermm then they should open a real bug report with details. Sorry.

This was actually fixed some years ago https://gna.org/bugs/?20653 :)
