Description Kevin Raymond 2013-10-30 07:07:15 UTC
Hi,

I've just installed a fresh Fedora Beta TC6, and found in issue in the fr translation.

In gnome-control-center (HEAD)
GNOME 3.10.1

msgid "_Arrange Combined Displays"
msgstr "_Organiser les écrans clonés"

It should be "associés" as in the following string:

msgid "Arrange Combined Displays"
msgstr "Organiser les écrans associés"

While reading the PO, I can also read
msgid "Bridge slaves"
msgstr "Esclaves pont"
Wouldn't "Ponts esclaves" be better?

Should I write directly to gnomefr@traduc?

GNOME 3.10 is amazing, thanks!

Thanks for reporting it.

Indeed.

Agreed.

Since you read the po file, I assume some technical knowledge on your side. ;-)

Would you be kind enough to provide a patch that fixes the two above mentionned issues? I'd be very thankful.

> Should I write directly to gnomefr@traduc?

Here is fine. Actually it's a bit better to follow when things have been fixed. Both work anyway.

Patch added thanks.

As a translator myself, I find it faster to fix the PO on my local repo than asking, applying...
(And I don't really matter about credits for that kind of fix)

I should have joined the GNOME L10n team ;) (don't try, I used the past)

Really for that kind of fixes I think the way we handled it is the best.
