Description Mehmet Giritli 2013-10-24 10:24:48 UTC
I have a mount on lvm2 filesystem, full of audio files (flac). I index them using tracker and tracker-needle program can correctly the search through all the files there. The mount point is naturally listed in tracker preferences and it is set to do it recursively. I can also see the folders mentioned in trackers preferences in the "search" of gnome-c-c, under bookmarks section when you click gear icon. They are at "on" position.

However, entering search terms does not find anything through shell. The only thing it does find is the mount point name of the mentioned file system. FS is mounted at /mnt/media/musica and it can find "musica" as a folder when I search for this word. But thats it! Nothing else, neither folder nor file can be found.

But I know tracker indexed them (and I didn't satrt indexing them recently, its been a long time). I can find the results in trackers client app. Whats going on, any ideas?

PS: I also have a folder that tracker indexes and it contains documents of pdf. shell search finds all files in there.

Only application results are implemented in the shell itself, all other results are provided by applications. This reports sounds like an issue of the nautilus provider, reassigning.
