Description Richard Guerrero 2013-10-11 23:05:26 UTC
If there are multiple tasks with the same name, no matter which one you select in the Add Predecessor dialog box, the link will be created to the first one only. There is no way to link to subsequent tasks with the same name, unless the name is changed.

To reproduce:
1. Create a new project.
2. Create tasks. Include recurring tasks with identical names, e.g., "Update build procedure".
3. Click on Edit Task.
4. In the Edit Task Properties dialog box, select the Predecessors tab.
5. Click on Add.
6. In the Add Predecessor dialog box, expand the Name field.
7. Select the second, third, or fourth "Update build procedure" in the list.
8. In Gantt view, notice that the task was linked to the first "Update build procedure".

Work around: Make the task names unique.
