Description Jean-François Fortin Tam 2013-10-10 02:48:16 UTC
After a while playing around with layers (and/or keyframes), you pretty much always end up in a situation where you want to move a clip onto the same layer as another and crossfade them together... and when you try to do that, sometimes it stubbornly refuses to create an automatic transition. Will attach a sample project that allows reproducing this.

Sample project here: http://jeff.ecchi.ca/public/pitivi-709787.xges_tar

Open this project in pitivi and try crossfading the two clips together on the same layer.
Comment 2 Thibault Saunier 2014-10-29 16:26:57 UTC
In that project I can see ** auto-transition=(boolean)false **:

    <timeline properties='properties, auto-transition=(boolean)false, snapping-distance=(guint64)58539301;' metadatas='metadatas, duration=(guint64)18222563165;'>

That is the reason why no transition will be created.

Can you check if you can reproduce the issue you describe here?
