GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 709248
Mobile broadband connections don't get removed when modem is unplugged
Last modified: 2013-10-21 19:40:02 UTC
Created attachment 256244 [details] Screenshot When you plug in a mobile broadband modem, a new item appears in the new global indicators menu. But when the modem is unplugged, the item is not removed. Once you plug in and unplug several times, you end up with several mobile broadband connection menu items; see attached screenshot.
I've seen that behavior in the past, but I haven't investigated, and now I don't have working wwan anymore. Can you try and see if the shell is emitting some JS error in the journal? Because we have code to handle device removal, and it used to work fine, but it wasn't very tested.
Created attachment 256334 [details] [review] Patch. Attached patch seems to fix the issue.
