Description William Jon McCann 2013-10-01 13:43:18 UTC
It would be sweet to be able to detect and import xchat settings (and maybe logs) when starting Polari. It is a lot of work to add all your channels and servers again.

What would you consider a good approach to deal with this ?

I think we may fetch part of xchat code to create an importer ..
Or start a new one by grabbing specific data required from .xchat settings...

migrate-xchat.js

This can parse xchat-gnome servlist_.conf files. There's no good to stuff that into the Polari account settings though.

I'll try to provide an example file.

I did this a while back:

Comment 6 André Klapper 2021-06-10 11:04:11 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version of Polari, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/polari/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
