GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 708939
Nautilus window frame disappearing
Last modified: 2013-10-07 07:42:10 UTC
After some random mouse manipulation or keyboard shortcut the nautilus window loses its title bar (upper bar with the folder location, navigation arrows and settings options) and it seems impossible to restore the original bar. I am using nautilus-3.10.0-1.fc20.i686 on Fedora 20. Had the problem about a week ago as well (so earlier version of nautilus). Creating a new windows creates a normal frame with the upper "title bar" and then closing the "wrong" one solves the problem.
Created attachment 255944 [details] screenshot Seems to happen in full screen mode only
Hello! I also want to comment on this bug. I am running a dual monitor setup, and the steps to reproduce this bug is: Maximize Nautilus on the monitor without the gnome-shell top bar. Now drag down the window to unmaximize it. Bang, the header bar is now gone. If you double click on the window to unmaximize it, this will not happen. To get the window normal again you have to reset settings with dconf: dconf reset -f /org/gnome/nautilus/ Hope this helps people :)
