GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 708896
Crap GTK layout on Ubuntu Gnome 13.10
Last modified: 2013-09-27 10:35:54 UTC
The Ubuntu baseline contains a very old 3.0.2 gThumb which has a blocker bug on Ubuntu Gnome 3.10 (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gthumb/+bug/1227838). I found this ppa: https://launchpad.net/~nilarimogard/+archive/test which provided me gThumb 3.2.3. The bug linked here above is well fixed by this version, but there is another annoying one: there is a plain grey area between the status bar and the bottom gThumb edge. Extending the window or trying to display gThumb full screen doesn't help, it just makes this greay area bigger, nothing more. The result is the gThumb "workable" area is reduced to a very small surface which makes this beautiful a bit difficult to use. I'll post a screenshot as soon as I can.
Sorry, see Ubuntu Gnome 13.10 and not 3.10.
