Description Allan Day 2013-09-26 14:49:48 UTC
Now that we have Software and we are pushing to consistently use offline updates, it doesn't make sense to include the "Software Update" application launcher. It provides an inconsistent experience, and the Software app has a better UI for updates.

In the short term we could set it to NoDisplay=true. In the long run, it might make sense to remove it from gnome-packagekit altogether.

It's no longer installed by default in Fedora 20.
