Description Igor Gnatenko 2013-09-11 10:16:03 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
1. In preferences set alias for jabber (e.g. "Igor Gnatenko")
2. Join to jabber conference (shows as "Igor Gnatenko")
3. Disable/enable internet or sleep/wakeup
4. Auto-reconnect in jabber confs.
5. Show as "i.gnatenko.brain" because have this jabber-account (i.gnatenko.brain@jabber.ru)
Comment 1 Igor Gnatenko 2013-09-11 10:19:50 UTC
workaround: quit from all jabber conferences, join
Comment 2 Tim Fountain 2013-12-18 12:54:01 UTC
I have the same problem (using v3.8.4 on Ubuntu 13.10). The problem is intermittent, but only ever happens if I am disconnected from the Internet for some reason.

I can see this also in Empathy 3.12.7, leaving a Jabber Room window open, setting status to disconnected in the main Contact window, and then to available again. Workaround also works for me.

Affected version number should be bumped.
