Description brainpower 2013-09-09 23:58:21 UTC
file-roller fails to read rar archives correctly when rar version 5.0.0 is installed/used.

Steps to reproduce:
- Install rar version 5.0.0 ( http://rarlab.com/rar/rarlinux-x64-5.0.0.tar.gz )
- Try to open a rar archive using file-roller

Actual Result:
With some archives the file list just stays empty,
with others it displays a lot of junk for the filename(s),
but no error message(s) are shown.

Expected Result:
- well...

file-roller version:
3.8.4 (no patches)

Additional Information:
I suspect file-roller fails to parse the output of rar correctly.

Solved it by reverting back to rar 4.2.0, but it would be nice to be able to use the new version at some point.
