GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 707715
Explain clearly that GtkBox will not be deprecated
Last modified: 2013-09-08 12:15:56 UTC
In the section "Migrating from other containers to GtkGrid", one can think that GtkBox will be deprecated and that it is a better idea to use GtkGrid for all container purposes. The section title is misleading, and the first sentence is: > GtkGrid is an attempt to write a comprehensive, legacy-free, box-layout > container that is flexible enough to replace GtkBox, GtkTable and the like. GtkBox is still a valid use case. It is simpler to use than GtkGrid. GtkBox has features that GtkGrid doesn't have, for example GtkGrid doesn't support nth-child.
