GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 706666
classic: system status does not show up
Last modified: 2015-03-19 00:58:03 UTC
when I log into a classic session with 3.9.90, I see the calendar on the right, but no trace of the system status icons :-(
Created attachment 252860 [details] [review] classic: update the session mode for 3.9.90 The status menus were consolidated into the aggregate menu. Sorry for not getting this into 3.9.90, I only tested the extensions in a regular shell, not the classic session itself. Also, we have a fairly bad theming problem with the new menu.
Review of attachment 252860 [details] [review]: OK.
Created attachment 252863 [details] [review] classic: update the theme for 3.9.90 Fix the colors in the system menu elements. This fixes the most obvious problems in the new menu (like the system actions being invisible), but designer review is needed.
Created attachment 252905 [details] [review] theme patch Here's a small theme patch (on top of the existing patches here). It brings the system menu in line with the rest of the classic mode theme. color: white for the hover and active states of system-menu-action doesn't seem to work for some reason, but I've left it in there.
A couple of other small things: 1. The slider troughs look very dark. Did we change something there this cycle? 2. The wi-fi network name should be white when hovered. Currently it's grey.
