With current git master the text on deactivated menu items is invisible when using the dark theme variant (see screenshot).

I have tried both eog and Totem and both show the problem, returning to gnome-themes-standard 3.9.3 fixes it.

Thanks for the report, I pushed a fix for this to git master now.
