Description Andy 2013-08-21 11:43:52 UTC
I use the seahorse password store also to store passwords that I repeatedly copy and paste somewhere.

It happened to me already several times that I hit a wrong key for copying, which would enter text in the password field and overwrite the correct password.

There is NO WAY to undo this catastrophe, which makes it a SECURITY ISSUE, since I have no way whatsoever to restore my password! It's simply lost.

I don't know why the Crtl+z doesn't work on this password field, maybe it's deactivated on purpose?

I am surprised that even using the Esc key to close the dialog will still store the altered password in 3.8, indeed.

I suggest closign this as duplicate of bug 712348 (it's a little more detailed)
