GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 706368
Provide a default lock screen background
Last modified: 2013-08-23 22:24:05 UTC
Since yesterday we have the ability to set the lock screen background independently of the session "wallpaper". It would be nice if we could provide a default lock screen image: this would communicate that the lock screen image can be changed, and is a nice opportunity to communicate something about the system.
Agreed - do we have a background asset we can install and use for this?
https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-backgrounds/plain/backgrounds/Sunset.png ?
-> gsettings-desktop-schemas If that's indeed the background asset we should use, it's already shipped by gnome-backgrounds, so there's nothing we have do from the theme. The way to set that as the default lock screen background is to modify the default value of org.gnome.desktop.screensaver.picture-uri here [1]. Reassigning.
