GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 705888
contact list is not refreshed after changing address book
Last modified: 2014-09-16 17:32:21 UTC
Changing address book from the app menu has no effect on the contact list. After restarting gnome-contacts, the contact list is correctly displayed. I encountered this issue on Ubuntu and Fedora 19.
Created attachment 257993 [details] [review] gnome-contacts_chgaddrbook.patch Please find attached a preliminary patch, which allows changing the address book on-the-fly. There's still a problem : I seem unable to clear/reset the Contacts.Store on refresh (so old contacts merge with the new ones). Tried different approaches without success ; it might be related to the asynchronous nature of IndividualAggregator callbacks. Any insight is appreciated.
I think this is a folks issue. It should send the right change events when the primary address book is changed.
The contact list shouldn't update when you change the address book any more - we always show all the available contacts. Do we still need this patch?
