Description Jan-Michael Brummer 2013-07-09 19:25:08 UTC
In the contacts view the "Manager" and "Office" field is not populated through EWS although it is listed in the web frontend.

Hello Jan-Michael Brummer,

Did you try to check for "Manager" and "Office" in the Global Address List?
I'm testing here using an EWS 2010 as server and it shows, int the Global Address List, everyone shown in the "Default Global Address List" in the web front-end.

Yes, i tried to show the fields in GAL and in Contacts, neither of them are displaying the Manager and Office location field. Outlook WebApp shows the missing contact fields. Its also 2010.

Do you cache the GAL for offline? There is an option for this in mail account's preferences. The amount of information shown in the search result depends on this option. The reason is that the offline GAL has richer set of properties, than the simple ResolveNames response.

I guess this can be marked as a duplicate of bug #677224, if I got the issue correctly.

Yes, if they're using my setup script then they are caching the GAL. It lacks a number of fields. Let's make this a duplicate of bug 677224 as you suggest.
