Description Kat 2013-06-30 10:57:21 UTC
When using the "Large Text" accessibility setting, some text on websites is scaled properly, but some is not and none of the images are scaled.

[For an example of bad scaling, see https://projects.gnome.org/epiphany/; for an example of good scaling, see https://bugzilla.gnome.org/ - note that the images are not scaled. I am currently scaling by a factor of 2, which may need to be set with the tweak tool as the default setting may be much lower.]

This means that Epiphany is not nice to use for people who cannot read smaller font sizes.

The way Epiphany should behave is the same as when the "layout.css.devPixelsPerPx" is set in Firefox: everything is scaled by the set amount indiscriminately, which works very well and keeps websites displaying properly.

Is this still a problem? Both pages seem to be scaled properly nowadays.
Comment 2 Kat 2015-02-20 14:06:12 UTC
Hi, testing on 3.15.1, the problem is still there in exactly the same way as described in the original report. I have a screenshot, but unfortunately it's on a machine which just broke when updating. Will add it as soon as I can!

Hm, that's really weird, I tested yesterday and it worked fine.

Note that this setting is only checked when the browser is started, so any changes after epiphany is already running will be ignored. But that can't be causing the problem for you, since you note that the setting is respected on one page and not another.
Comment 4 Kat 2015-02-20 17:20:26 UTC
Indeed, I change the setting first, then start the browser. I am using quite a high magnification factor of 2 because it is difficult to see the difference with the default setting (1.2, I think).
