Description Dmitry Smirnov 2013-06-13 11:32:52 UTC
As requested in corresponding Debian bug report:

    http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=465565

`gnumeric` and `ssconvert` should allow for exporting to LaTeX
landscape mode directly. Currently changing the file manually
after exporting is necessary, which is cumbersome.

Let's see:
If the generated LaTeX file is included in a larger LaTeX document (we would consider this the normal usage) then whether the table is typeset in landscape or portrait format is determined by the including file. So nothing cumbersome here.

If the file is typeset as is, the cumbersome portion consists of deleting a single % sign. Considering that there are many other settings that a user would want to adjust, I fail to see how this could be called cumbersome.

I tend to consider this a WONTFIX.

Note: I changed the component to import/export HTML since the latex exporter is part of the html plugin.
Comment 2 Andreas J. Guelzow 2013-06-13 18:43:02 UTC
We are now using the pagesetup setting of the sheet to determine whether to enable landscape or not.

This is as far as I would want to go in making the 'landscape export' easier.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
