Description David Woodhouse 2013-06-07 21:31:51 UTC
NetworkManager requests WPAD information from the DHCP server (since bug 368423) even though it does nothing with it. Dispatcher scripts &c can still use it though.

However, when the VPN server provides similar information it is lost. We need a way to store and report this like we do for DHCP WPAD, even if we don't do anything more.

This bug is about getting the information from the VPN plugin all the way to NetworkManager as environment for the dispatcher scripts just as is done with DHCP.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being shut down in favor of a GitLab instance.
We are closing all old bug reports and feature requests in GNOME Bugzilla which have not seen updates for a long time.

If you still use NetworkManager and if you still see this bug / want this feature in a recent and supported version of NetworkManager, then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/-/issues/

Thank you for creating this report and we are sorry it could not be implemented (workforce and time is unfortunately limited).
