GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 701611
ssconvert: warn more about multiple sheets
Last modified: 2018-05-22 13:59:59 UTC
Forwarding from http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=546069 as reported by user: One only gets a warning here, $ ssconvert x.xls x.html Selected exporter (Gnumeric_html:xhtml_range) does not support saving multiple sheets in one file. Only the current sheet will be saved. But not here, $ ssconvert x.xls x.txt Please warn there also. (I didn't test the other conversion types.)
Note that this is remotely related to bug #694408. For the text exporter is qualitatively different from the the t exporter since the latter allows specification of the sheets to export.
I meant to say that the CSV exporter is qualitatively different from the text exporter...
If you use the configurable text exporter from within GNumeric, then by default all sheets are being exported. I think we should do this here too, unless the -o 'sheet=...' option is used.
Created attachment 246288 [details] [review] proposed patch This patch would change the behaviour of the configurable text exporter invoked via ssconvert to export all non-empty sheets (unless sheets are specified in the export options). This would match the default setting in the text export dialog.
