This happens here too, but not always, and there seems to be a difference between starting via the gui, and from the command line. It's not consistent, either. I have only briefly tried it, but FWIW, here are my results:

1. From the gui, no projects in history: crashed when clicking "open" in the "open" dialog.

2. From terminal in a project directory: runs fine.

3. From gui, one project in history: runs fine when choosing that project; segfaults when clicking on "open" in the menu.

4. From gui, three projects in history: runs fine, can open other projects.

These are just some of my first results running giggle. Crashes occur inconsistently, both from command line and gui, but (it seems) always when trying to use the menu "project/open", not from the history.

$ giggle -v
