For my own curiosity, can you explain why that's the case (and which language needs this)?
Comment 5 Dušan 2013-06-19 23:21:25 UTC
Slovak language(one of the hardest languages in europe) and many other i think...all is about that we (slovak translation team) are taking care about very good and consistent translation...
Comment 6 Bastien Nocera 2013-06-21 10:11:39 UTC
That really doesn't answer my question.
Comment 7 Piotr Drąg 2015-02-10 16:16:36 UTC
In Polish (and probably most Slavic languages) we also use different forms of the same words in the UI. For example, for a menu entry "Browse for more pictures" we have "Przeglądaj więcej obrazów" (imperative verb), while for the same original window title we have "Przeglądanie innych obrazów" - a verbal noun (please ignore więcej-innych for this example.) And as Dušan said, it makes the UI feel more polished and professional.

Thanks for the explanation, however the file photo-dialog.ui was removed (Bug 708286), so the patch is useless now...
