GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 701235
Add Yahoo! account services in GOA
Last modified: 2021-07-05 10:59:44 UTC
In GOA 3.8, and can handle other popular accounts, therefore, be great to handle some Yahoo! services from GOA. These services could be: Yahoo! Mail → IMAP - SMTP (Evolution / Geary?) Agenda / calendar → (Evolution, future G-Calendar) Contacts → G-contacts Yahoo! Messenger → Empathy Flickr → G-photos It would be great at least at first, to control the Yahoo mail and contacts and of course the reborn Flickr. thanks
Please note that there is already a Yahoo! provider in GOA, but it doesn't do anything useful at the moment. Flickr is handled by a different provider and there is ongoing work to integrate it with the rest of GNOME: https://live.gnome.org/ThreePointNine/Features/FlickrPhotos
(In reply to comment #1) Thanks for the information from Flickr, but what about the other services for the next version of GNOME? Currently set up my Yahoo! account manually (GOA IMAP/SMTP and Empathy) and I had to create a google account (and managed from Yahoo!) to have it sync with GNOME-contacts. If there is already a provider of Yahoo! in GOA, would be very helpful for this work. Thanks

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled). If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version, then please follow https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines and create a new ticket at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-online-accounts/-/issues/ Thank you for your understanding and your help.
