Description Tim 2002-01-30 19:50:52 UTC
When using the "Grab key..." button in Control Center->Panel->Miscellaneous
it will not respond to the Meta key. (I am trying to map the Run dialog
key to Meta-r). In my Xmodmap configuration, the meta key is mapped to mod1.

OS Info:
     - Sorcerer GNU Linux i686
     - kernel 2.4.17
     - XFree86 4.2.0
     - gnome-core 1.4.0.6
     - gnome-libs 1.4.1.4
     - sawfish 1.0.1

I can't duplicate this here. :/ If you get a chance to build/use the
new GNOME2 control center, could you check it there as well?
Comment 2 Calum Benson 2002-06-28 11:56:07 UTC
Hmm, I'm seeing the same problem in Sun's RC1, in the new Keyboard
Shortcut preferences. (I have meta mapped to mod-4).
Comment 3 Calum Benson 2002-07-01 16:14:50 UTC
Ok, I was a bit naughty there-- changing category back to
gnome-core/panel since it was a 1.4 bug, and opening a new bug for the
2.0 problem.
Comment 4 Calum Benson 2002-07-11 12:47:56 UTC
Bug #83334 describes the 2.0 problem.
