I wanted to say that any application (not just files manager) can access the remote share because it'll be available in the GTK file-chooser.

I think singular is better because otherwise the instructions need to be plural, which wouldn't look as nice.

Files and other applications will be able…?

"Any application" implies that all applications will be able to, not only those that have support, so you have to be really sure if you want to use "any". "Other" leaves some room for not all applications working.

We shouldn't need to mention the file chooser explicitly as that's the standard way to open files.
