Description Christian Stimming 2013-05-21 19:14:53 UTC
See http://gnucash.uservoice.com/suggestions/1547269

The aim is not absolute security but would prevent casual access to the information held. (Windows ACLs go some way towards this but any administrator could view the information.)
If this would be better done by securing the files outside the application, could someone tell me how?

See https://lists.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-devel/2013-June/035754.html for some developers' discussion about the implementation. And also https://lists.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-devel/2013-July/035820.html
