GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 700764
Network settings does not handle properly never-default
Last modified: 2020-11-12 14:33:28 UTC
The settings dialog in Gnome can read state of this option, where it seems it cannot store its modified value. Moreover, when the option was set to true, I was used to see "double icon" displaying the WiFi connection as well as connection to VPN, while now have just one of them, depending on the setting of never-default. $ rpm -q NetworkManager-openvpn NetworkManager-openvpn-0.9.6.0-2.fc19.x86_64 $ rpm -q control-center control-center-3.8.2-1.fc19.x86_64
I confirm this on Gentoo Linux with networkmanager-openvpn-0.9.8.4: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=500808
bugzilla.gnome.org is being shut down in favor of a GitLab instance. We are closing all old bug reports and feature requests in GNOME Bugzilla which have not seen updates for a long time. If you still use NetworkManager and if you still see this bug / want this feature in a recent and supported version of NetworkManager, then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/-/issues/ Thank you for creating this report and we are sorry it could not be implemented (workforce and time is unfortunately limited).
