GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 700757
Color shades difference between personal folders (documents, music, etc) and other folders
Last modified: 2013-05-21 08:57:17 UTC
Created attachment 244881 [details] Comparison between different types of folders (zoom 100%, 150% and 200%) Overview: Great consider the color change of the folders in GNOME 3.8 compared with 3.6, however, the personal folders (downloads, documents, music, etc.) appear to be much more gray and dark that a "common folder", which makes deferens and generates a contrast to create and use another folder (new) in / home. Know if the design was done on purpose that way, but comparing personal folders with a common folder, it makes a difference (a common folder looks much better). I think the only difference between a personal folder and a common folder should be the icon that represents the content. I believe that the personal folders are the way to present GNOME icons because they are the first icons (folders) that are displayed and the most used. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open "Files" and create a "new folder" Two. Display differences Platform: OS: Fedora 19 (rawhide) Environment: GNOME 3.8.2
Indeed, 'folder' was left unrendered since the last update. Thanks for spotting.
