gThumb shows only first small (160x120) TIFF from Nikon NEF file.
In real NEF contains 3 images except RAW information:

$ exiv2 -p p DSC_0559.NEF 
Preview 1: image/tiff, 160x120 pixels, 57600 bytes
Preview 2: image/jpeg, 570x375 pixels, 110026 bytes
Preview 3: image/jpeg, 3872x2592 pixels, 743414 bytes

I think that it needs to read the last preview (preferred for fast view of photos) or read fully RAW data. 
I rebuild gThumb with dcraw and libopenraw support - but nothing changes...

Issue this still an issue? Can you supply a sample image again - the above link no longer works.

It seems, that latest version 3.4.1 haven't this issue.
