I am guilty of saving and/or exporting images with typos and misspellings or even worse cutting a text layer and pasting as a floating selection THEN noticing the typo and I am sure other people have done so too... I think a spell check in the text tool would be handy, if a word is not in the dictionary there could also be a 'add to dictionary' option...
