GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 700150
When dragging in overview screen, delay for selecting window by hovering is too big
Last modified: 2015-12-02 21:39:16 UTC
It's normal to drag & drop from Nautilus to another window. Since the windows' overview shows all the windows and allows you to even select ones from other workspaces, the workflow I use to drag an icon from Nautilus to other windows is the following: .Select the icon from nautilus and drag it to the "Activities" button until the overview screen appears. .Place mouse over an open window and wait until the window is brought to the front .Drop the icon. The second step takes long time, making this workflow really painful. I don't seem to find any configuration to alter this delay.

Created attachment 245566 [details] [review] xdnd: Lower window activation timeout The current one is perceived as too high by users, so try a shorter timeout.

Is this configurable in dconf?
