Description Jakub Steiner 2013-05-08 20:44:08 UTC
We should have the same transition from the auth dialog to the running session when logging in and unlocking the screen. We should use the one we currently use for login.
Comment 1 Giovanni Campagna 2013-05-08 22:01:53 UTC
Ok, this is quite complex technically, because the unlock dialog lives with the rest of the UI contents (it needs to be below the panel), so we can't just animate the entire UI group like we do at startup.
Comment 2 Jasper St. Pierre (not reading bugmail) 2013-05-08 22:15:16 UTC
What's the goal of the panel in the transition, by the way? In the login animation, we scale the panel up too. Is that correct?
Comment 3 Bastien Nocera 2014-11-09 17:08:08 UTC
UI feedback was requested.
Comment 4 GNOME Infrastructure Team 2021-07-05 14:11:32 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
