Last modified: 2013-05-01 00:46:19 UTC
* Start Gnome 3 (3.8.1) * Working desktop * Kill X * Start Gnome 3 (3.8.1) * Black screen + cursor. Gnome never loads. * Kill X * Erase ~/.config/dconf/user * Restart Gnome 3 (3.8.1) * Working Desktop Seen on multiple machines by multiple people on Arch Linux. No obvious log errors.
Created attachment 242961 [details] dconf user config that breaks startup
Created attachment 242962 [details] stderr output from startx
Definitely seems time / date related as per last log from startx. Other things can trigger it, but setting the time format to AM / PM seems to be a good way to trigger this issue quickly. * Start Gnome 3 (3.8.1) * Working desktop * Set time to AM / PM format in clock. * Kill X * Start Gnome 3 (3.8.1) * Black screen + cursor. Gnome never loads. * Kill X * Erase ~/.config/dconf/user * Restart Gnome 3 (3.8.1) * Working Desktop
