Hello,

if in tweak-tools->theme->gtk+-theme Ambiance is selected and also in tweak-tools->workplace->filemanager handels desktop is set to on i get a white screen, but only if no application is running. If nautilus is running as only application i get some crashes ....

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.

The white background is a known problem, which was already reported here as bug 697235. You may want to read and follow the downstream bug report: https://launchpad.net/bugs/1159430

With relation to crashes, without a stack trace from the crash it's very hard to determine what caused it.
Can you get us a stack trace? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance!
