Description xgdgsc 2013-04-28 08:44:07 UTC
When you select power from gnome settings, screen brightness is set to the highest which is quite a shock for my poor eyes.

It should remain unchanged.
Comment 1 xgdgsc 2013-04-28 08:56:26 UTC
It doesn't happen everytime, seems just the first time after rebooting. And it should be default for gnome to remember brightness after reboot instead of turning it to highest every time. Now there is an extension does this:https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/231/brightness-control/
but not for 3.8 yet.

And sometimes when disconnect an external monitor, the brightness of the laptop monitor is set to the highest. I think these issues might be related.
