Description Adam Dingle 2013-04-26 16:30:07 UTC
I'm running Nautilus and libgtk both from git master.

In list view, when I move or resize the Nautilus window columns sometimes jump around oddly: the column sizes change on the fly. Whether this happens seems to depend on the set of files I'm displaying. But I can reproduce this completely reliably on my machine like this:

1. Start Nautilus.
2. Go to the /etc folder in list view. On a typical machine this directory will have a few hundred files.
3. Make sure you're displaying the default set of columns (Name, Size, Type, Modified).
4. Now move the window, or resize it, or right click on any file to open a context menu. The columns will jump around.

I cannot seem to reproduce this behavior, can you try again with git master?
Comment 2 Adam Dingle 2013-06-19 00:31:22 UTC
OK - I just tried this again with both Nautilus and GTK built from git master. I'm still seeing this behavior, but I've realized that I can reproduce this with Ubuntu's Ambiance theme but not with Adwaita. So this must be theme-related.

I'll mark this NOTGNOME since there's no sign of it with Adwaita.

It turns out this has already been reported downstream at Ubuntu:
