just open the pdf attached. it will not be displayed since the upgrade to ubuntu 13.04 from the previous version.

maybe the pdf has an invalid structure but it could be opened in evince on ubuntu 12.10. at present you can open the pdf with 'gv' ore 'imagemagick' - both no alternatives to gc.

that it works in the previous ubuntu version was confirmed by sebastian bacher on launchpad. see: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1173100

Ubuntu 13.04 ships an old poppler version.

I pressed submit too fast by mistake.

It renders ok with newer poppler and cairo.  Although there is a syntax warning in the PDF, not an Evince bug.
