Nobody is really known to still use g-i with python 2.5, support
for 2.5 gets broken every now and then in the tree because nobody
is paying much attention any more so just drop it.

Definitely!  If someone complains we can revisit this.

I'll note in this commit message I'd like to keep supporting 2.6 for a while yet as I actively use it on RHEL6.
