Description misc 2013-04-22 20:30:17 UTC
Hi,

on version 3.6, a background tab was present in gnome terminal settings. This was removed, which is is not the issue ( and to be honest, that's ok for me ). However, it also removed the option of having a transparent background.

Since I am unable to find the commit that removed transparency, I assume that just something that is missing for now and that would be added back later.

Is there a chance to add it back just as a gsettings option ?

That's just for aesthetics reasons and eye candy, nothing more.

See https://live.gnome.org/Terminal/FAQ for a suggestion how to make windows transparent.
