Description Jens Kapitza 2013-04-22 13:29:45 UTC
Now a short C-P from IRC (intel-gfx)

I've big trouble with Java FX and the new XServer (Linux Ubuntu 12.10 and later) can anyone tell me if it is my fault?

Problem: Ensamble.jnlp (starts just with transparent window) viewing works fine. But try to check the Warning box (don't work right)

Q: Is it the new XServer (intel driver?) or the GTK version?
Anyone the same Problem?

Graphic Card: Intel HD
Java Version testet: 7u21 (32/64 Bit)

Seems that the click goes to the overlay (transparent window)?

installing Java (oracle) at a liveCD boot (ubuntu 12.10) and downloading Ensamble.jnlp DEMO from Javafx site http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javafx/samples/index.html AT my system the Warning (Cert invalid not trusted etc.) is not clickable

if i disable compitz there is a warning that no compositing engine is active and the Xserver sould be reconfigured

the problem is that the mouse events not working cause they are catched at the wrong layer

with ubuntu 12.04 LTS all works fine (i don't know if it is a driver issue, a GTK problem or the new Xserver version)

--------------------- some version stuff (hope this will help) -------

With this system all works fine (Ubuntu 12.04)

What are clear steps to reproduce the problem?

> Xserver version)

Did you report the problem to the bugtracker of your distribution? There people should first be able to find out on which level the problem happens, to then tell you where to upstream it.
