GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 698497
'make install' doesn't install Mallard help pages
Last modified: 2014-02-27 22:30:12 UTC
'make install' doesn't install meld's Mallard help pages (help/C/*.page).
This is blocking on a GTK + Gnome 3 transition, as we needed yelp-tools stuff that targets Gnome 3. Also, some currently supported platforms don't have a version of Yelp that can read the Mallard pages. For the moment, Mallard help is only on the website.
What's the status on this bug? I am unable to reproduce it am getting some error am not sure if it's related this bug report. Is there any way I can help resolve it?

There are no errors related to this bug report, and it's definitely still a problem. Did you comment on the wrong bug?
Err, o was talking about errors *i* am receiving here when i try to use make on meld. I am commenting on the right bug, am interested in solving this issue :)
Ah okay. In that case, if you've tested on 1.7.3 (there have been no Makefile changes since then), then please do file a new bug. There's no actual *errors* here... we just don't use the Mallard help files at all.
(In reply to comment #5) What do you mean by "we just don't use the Mallard help files at all"? Is the help not ready to be included in the Makefile?
See comment #1. yelp-tools is the supported build/install/whatever method, and that targets Gnome 3, which we sadly still don't.
This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
