GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 698459
Add back the social networks icons to the frontpage
Last modified: 2013-11-11 16:25:05 UTC
The social network icons that links to the gnome accounts on Identica, Twitter, Facebook and Google plus got lost when we recently changed the frontpage layout. These needs to come back.
Created attachment 254745 [details] Attached is the mockup with the social network icons below the news section that links to the gnome accounts on Identica, Twitter, Facebook and Google plus . It is a mockup to just check whether the position of the social network icons go along with the website or not.
Perhaps it would be better to put them in the footer instead, slightly smaller and in monochrome. There is some space in the bottom, right corner of the footer, beneath the language switcher. Let see how that looks.

My suggestion would be to aling the icons to the language selector and the footer credits, as in http://pasteboard.co/11apPuZh.png Agreed on the monochrome icons. Andreas do we have those? Or do we need art work?
Yeah, I think we have those around. Will locate and attach here.

Can you review it whether the position of the icons goes with the page or not. And Andreas I am not able to open the svg files in the attachment, its showing a blank page !
Created attachment 259328 [details] [review] Addition of social network icons on front page. As per alignment requirements I've added the png icons. Will this do?
Created attachment 259331 [details] [review] Rectified alignment. In the previous patch, there was an unaccounted div tag which is rectified by elucidating a separate container for the footer note, hence rectifying the overall alignment issue.
