I am trying to create a metal like finish on my picture and when I select to change my gradient when using the alpa to logo Cool Metal Filter Gimp Crashes.

1) Select a something to change into a cool metal.
2) Select the Cool Metal Filter under the Alpha to Logo Filters
3) Click on the Gradient to change it
4) Select a different Gradient.

Result:
Gimp Crashes

Additional notes:
I am using Windows 7 64 bit but I read else where on the internet that this happens to 32 bit operating systems too.  Also it isn't just windows either.  In Linux it crashes too.
