GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 697382
No need for overview if there is no active windows
Last modified: 2013-04-05 17:57:06 UTC
OS: Arch Gnome Shell 3.6. This bug also affects 3.8 When OS loads and GNOME starts, there are no opened windows yet. In order to start an application, user has to: 1.Go to activities 2.Lunch an app from dash or 3.click the "show all apps" icon (in order leave the overview view and switch too app layout view) 4.Find and launch the app Question is why user should go thru step 3 if there are no active windows, and overview is not needed? My suggestion is, in order to save time, to load the application view when "Activities" is initiated, in case user is not working in any app yet.
