Description Simon McVittie 2013-03-20 10:30:49 UTC
dbus-glib is basically terrible, and has been superseded by GDBus. It would be nice if libsocialweb used GDBus one day.

It appears to be a "private" dependency, so it should in principle be possible to port it without breaking API/ABI (although I haven't looked very closely).

I'm mostly opening this feature request so it can block the corresponding request for Folks.

libsocialweb is not under active development anymore and saw its last non-cosmetic code changes in 2013. Its codebase has been archived:

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
