Description Colin Walters 2013-03-18 20:44:30 UTC
Did you mean to change the version numbers of the installed files like /usr/lib/pkgconfig/tracker-sparql-0.16.pc -> /usr/lib/pkgconfig/tracker-sparql-0.18.pc ?

If so, it breaks several tracker-using components in GNOME like nautilus. This seems like a post GNOME 3.8 type thing.

Should we change jhbuild (and gnome-ostree) to track the tracker-0.16 branch?

In master, yes. It's automatic when I update the version details in configure.

We should change the gnome 3.8 targets to use tracker-0.16 branch specifically then. I will do that ASAP. I did the 0.16.0 release yesterday specifically for GNOME 3.8.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
