Unfortunately, the easy patch fails in GdMainView: for longer strings, I get ellipses and no way to resize the items.
Punting this on EggFlowBox.

+1. Came here to say exactly this.
Comment 3 Giovanni Campagna 2015-03-18 19:40:59 UTC
Mh this bug was against the old weather design, which had an icon view with all cities.
We don't have that anymore, so before I close this obsolete, where exactly are you asking for a temperature?
Comment 4 Mike 2015-03-18 19:53:29 UTC
When I start up Weather, I see a view that lists cities, like in the ascii above. If that's gone, then I agree, this is indeed obsolete.
Comment 5 Giovanni Campagna 2015-03-18 19:55:06 UTC
Yeah, since 3.14 Weather starts with the current city, and has a popover with previously searched places. The popover includes the temperature, so this is fixed and obsolete.

Hope you can upgrade to 3.14 (or even better, 3.16) soon!
Comment 6 Mike 2015-03-18 20:07:39 UTC
OK, cool, yeah, close this out, I'd say. I'm on the Ubuntu upgrade cycle...maybe I'll get the latest in April.
Comment 7 Giovanni Campagna 2015-03-18 20:49:42 UTC
Yep, Ubuntu will ship with 3.14 in April, they stay one version behind.
